Warkworth & Districts Museum

Situated in the stunning Parry Kauri Park, our family-friendly museum showcases the history of our district and gives an insight into the lives of our pioneering families.

Warkworth & District Museum is located under 1 hours drive from Auckland City Centre, just south of the township of Warkworth.  The Museum, is proud of the constantly developing and changing displays that give an insight into the lives and pursuits of our pioneering families. From the past to the present, we have a magnificent display of colonial history which is beautifully presented.

On the ground floor, the early European settlement and development of the Warkworth district is showcased through artefacts, textiles and photographs. On the first floor, there are re-created rooms of the 1920’s – a corner store, kitchen, bedrooms, sitting room, carpentry and blacksmith workshops and a wash house showing the furniture, clothing and the tools of yesteryear.  Throughout the Museum ...
