Ti Point Reptile Park is New Zealand’s largest collection of Reptiles, displaying over 40 species from Aotearoa and around the globe, located just past Whangateau and before you arrive in Leigh. This is a must visit with the family when you are visiting the Matakana Coast.
Follow a looping path through regenerating bush with stunning views out to the Pacific Ocean you’ll explore a treasure trove of native and exotic reptile species including american alligators, dragons, turtles, tortoises, massive green iguanas, carnivorous lace monitors, tarantula spiders, many types of lizards… and, of course, the show-stealer: New Zealand’s own living fossil – the tuatara.
