A visit to the centre is a must for all visitors to Goat Island Marine Reserve, it is only 250m from the main beach. Learn all about the reserve and fish life before snorkelling with our stunning high definition footage and interactive displays. Get up close to New Zealand marine life without getting wet using our interactive Microeye microscope, be amazed by our sound corridor playing a variety of fish sounds and see a range of marine creatures in our large ‘touch gently tank’.  Even if you have been to Goat Island before you are sure to learn something new. The centre also runs catered experiences for groups and education programmes for school students.
